Dr. Sergio Sedas has dedicated over twenty years to establish high-tech companies to increase quality, productivity and efficiency in businesses and create programs that inspire youth and professionals to outstanding projects and activities.
With support from NASA, USAirforce, National Science Foundation and CONACYT, he completed his masters and Ph.D. from Carnegie Mellon University where he worked on the development of Dante – the first robot in history to enter an active volcano in Antarctica.
He has held senior management positions at Philips, Tec de Monterrey, Yaskawa Motoman and Techmatec. He is the founder of high-tech companies dedicated to development and innovation for large automotive companies including NEMAK, Visteon, Magna Formex and Ford.
He is the author of the programs "NOLIMITS", "I bet you can´t", "Context Based Learning" and "Learning-through experience" designed to enhance learning for young people through understanding and coping with major challenges. He is also the architect of two major academic conventions Tec de Monterrey with NASA and Carnegie Mellon University.
Using success principles, he advises young people to create businesses (and Mekatronics SETEC), social assistance programs (Technology for All and Help and Win), produce academic internship programs (NASA, Carnegie Mellon University), create an early internship program in industry, and create businesses based on their strengths and passion
He has been an invited keynote speaker at national at Tec de Monterrey, U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Chrysler, Vitro, the Marco Museum, IEEE, ASME, AAAI and other international organizations.
He appears in radio and television programs including the following publications: Fortune, Production, IEEE News, Auomotriz Alliance, and others.
He was recognized by the Pittsburgh AIDE Alliance for Innovative Development and Education for their contribution to social and technological development of the country.
